NLP
What is NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming?
NLP is the practice of understanding how people organise their thinking, feeling, language and behaviour to produce the results they do. NLP provides people with a methodology for self improvement. A key element of NLP is that we form our unique internal mental maps of the world as a product of the way we filter and perceive information absorbed through our five senses from the world around us.
Use of NLP
Our use of NLP techniques and approaches focusses upon practical applications which are easily understood and which can generate real benefits to the person and the organsiation.
So how can NLP approaches be described :
Level with People
Leadership capabilities are crucial to support people become more innovative and create the right organisational climate. This means understanding and developing the neurological levels which can expand leadership space and cultivate the required belief systems.
Framing Your Mind
We are all prisoners of the past and the mental frames or patterns which we have developed. These are usually invisible to us and can become barriers to innovation. Reframing to allow new connections allows new and better products and services to be developed.
Points of View
We are all Customers and all Customers have their unique perceptions of the world. NLP perceptual positioning helps get inside the minds of our Customers to identify their emotional and unarticulated needs. This allows us to formulate more innovative responses.
Wise Monkeys …. New Ideas
VAKOG is the big NLP idea here. People have different types of representational systems? This understanding can be used, for example, in more innovative targetting and design of learning programmes and marketing messages.
Worlds Apart Together
The map and territory metaphor from NLP can be used to indicate that navigating outside the personal and organisational maps is essential for innovation to happen and idea space to be increased.
Every Story Tells a Picture
Using metaphors and story telling is gaining popularity in getting change to be accepted. Use to stimulate innovative thinking can be powerful.
Up Up Up and Away
The NLP Milton model can be used to step up to a new and more innovative Business concepts. It can also be used to step up and back down to generate new connections and new ideas for products and services.
Eh?!....run that past me again!
For new ideas to be accepted and implemented they need to be communicated. The NLP meta model clarifies the language to use and how to make it more resourceful.
We are accredited to use NLP tools and techniques and can develop and deliver one off NLP workshops or incorporate NLP into bespoke learning packages with our other services.
